From application to funded, with nothing hidden in between.
Most funders describe three friendly steps and leave out the part where you get declined for a reason nobody explains. Here is the whole thing.
Apply
A short online form plus three months of business bank statements. Ten minutes, no fee, and nothing here touches your credit report.
Underwrite
Automated cash-flow analysis runs first, then a human underwriter reviews it. Most complete files get a decision the same business day.
Fund
You review every option side by side, ask your questions, sign electronically, and funds move by ACH or wire — often within 24 hours.
What actually happens, and when
| Stage | What we do | What you do | Typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Application | Nothing yet — the form is yours | Answer 12 questions, upload or connect statements | 10 minutes |
| First contact | An advisor calls to confirm details and understand the use of funds | Take the call, ask what the money really costs | Within 1 business hour |
| Underwriting | Analyze deposits, balances, existing obligations, industry risk | Answer follow-ups; send extra documents if requested | 2 – 8 hours |
| Offer review | Present every option you qualify for, in dollars | Compare, push back, ask for a different structure | Same day |
| Verification | Confirm bank details, business standing, identity | Provide a voided check or bank login verification | 1 – 4 hours |
| Signing | Send final agreements with the total cost stated | Read it. Then read it again. Then sign. | 15 minutes |
| Funding | Initiate ACH or wire | Watch the account | Same day – 48 hours |
Equipment financing typically adds 1 – 3 days for vendor and asset verification. SBA loans follow a different, much longer process — see the SBA page.
What we are actually looking at
Not a single number. Six things, weighted against each other.
- Deposit consistency — regular revenue matters more than large revenue
- Average daily balance — can the account absorb a payment without going negative
- Negative days and NSFs — a few are normal; a pattern is a problem
- Existing obligations — other advances already debiting the same deposits
- Time in business — a proxy for having survived something
- Personal credit — relevant, but rarely decisive on short-term products
What gets a file declined
In rough order of how often we see it:
- Two or more advances already outstanding
- Frequent negative balance days in the last 90
- Revenue declining month over month with no explanation
- Under six months in business
- Bank statements that do not match the stated revenue
- An industry we cannot fund at all (see below)
If we decline you, you get the reason and — where there is one — a specific path to qualifying later. A decline is not a permanent answer.
What you will be asked for
Nothing more than this, unless the request is large.
Always
- Completed application
- 3 months of business bank statements
- Government-issued photo ID
- Voided business check
Above $250,000
- Year-to-date profit and loss
- Year-to-date balance sheet
- Most recent business tax return
- Schedule of existing business debt
Sometimes
- Vendor quote (equipment financing)
- Accounts receivable aging
- Lease or property documentation
- Proof of business insurance
About the process
Within one business hour of a submitted application, usually much sooner. Applications submitted overnight or on weekends are picked up at the start of the next business day. If you would rather not be called, note that in the application and we will work by email.
No — you can upload PDF statements instead. Secure read-only connection is faster and reduces back-and-forth, but it is optional and it never gives us the ability to move money. Access is read-only and can be revoked by you at any time.
Offers are typically valid for several business days, and there is no obligation to accept. Take the written offer to your accountant. Any funder that pressures you to sign same-day is telling you something about how they operate.
You do not need to. One application is underwritten against every product we offer, and your advisor presents all the options you qualify for at once. Applying separately at multiple funders, on the other hand, can hurt you — multiple inquiries in a short window is a pattern underwriters notice.
